Kipling Acres LTC is a large longterm care facility owned by the City of Toronto. Phase 1 of the re-development includes green roofs on 15 different roofs. One roof area is accessible from the 3rd story lobby. The vegetated roof over the nursery is very visible for most residents on the north and east side of the buildings. The 2,400 square metres of living roofs significantly reduces the storm water runoff from the facility as it covers more than 50% of the roof surface of the building.
