The Clemson University Graduate Center is located in North Charleston on the Cooper River next to the Navy Yard. The rooftop amenity area features LiveRoof Standard and Deep modules integrated with a pedestal paver system. The roof is accessible to students, facility and visitors and features a shade system to help keep the area comfortable during the summer months. The LiveRoof system features a number of unique green roof accent plants – Carex, Schizachyrium, Yucca, and Muhlenbergia to name a few!

The new 45,000 square foot addition to the Winn Army Community Hospital will expand medical services for Active Duty Military and their families at Fort Stewart, GA. The 8,400 SF extensive green roof will help the new facility achieve LEED Silver status.

UF Health Jacksonville is hte regions premier academic health center, a leader in the education of health professionals, a hub for clinical research and a unique provider of high-quality patient care. LiveRoof is incorporated on 5 different roof sections at the UF Health Jacksonville campus. The largest portion of the LiveRoof can be seen from the 3rd-6th story patient rooms and offices. The LiveRoof design includes unique applications such as light wells and outdoor balconies with seating areas.

The Piedmont Hospital Emergency Room green roof was installed in 2012 and is one of our first commercial green roofing projects in Georgia. The roof, visible from multiple areas of the hospital, contains curved walkways, light wells, and Allium accent plants.

A value engineering success story! The LiveRoof system was originally value engineered from this project due to budget reasons. The TPO roof was constructed to meet specs for the LiveRoof system. After the roof was completed the building owners noticed how the TPO roof detracted from the 2nd and 3rd story views. James Greenroofs worked with the architects to develop multiple plant mixes, custom drainage designs, and maintenance access paths. The result is a beautiful green roof that transformed an eye sore into a flowering oasis. People visiting the Ronald McDonald facility enjoy seating areas and an indoor treehouse where the green roof is visible.

The St. Johns River Center in Palatka, Florida was designed with a beautiful roof top terrace where visitors, and especially students, can be educated about the ecology and physical characteristics of the St. Johns River wetland areas. The observation deck contains 1440 square feet of LiveRoof Standard modules surrounding the perimeter. James Greenroofs worked with the developer to incorporate a unique pallet of plants that would thrive in the St. Johns River climate.
