Urban Milwaukee reported on the new green roof at local non-profit radio station, 88Nine.
The new green roof –funded by a Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District (MMSD) grant and through private donations– will provide green space for rooftop events.
88Nine has featured representatives from the MMSD on their station, which helped to raise awareness of green roof benefits. MMSD green roof grants are available to private and public property owners, providing a generous $5 per square foot of planted roof installed.
